Rector of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University met the representatives of Georg-von-Langen-Schule (Holzminden, Germany) Hischer Frank and Schindewolf Michael Hermann Heinrich.
The meeting was devoted to discussion of a so-called round table implemented in our countries. It makes provision for gaining experience and speech practice with native speakers within the course of academic exchange of pupils and teachers of Germany and Belarus. The project is aiming at joint work to establish friendly terms, study culture, traditions and customs of our countries.
Guests from Germany visited Brilyovo secondary school and Gymnasium No.56 named after A.A. Vishnevsky, compared the education systems of our countries and recognized high level of German language teaching in Belarus. The administrators of the project paid attention to the endeavour of the pupils to know more about the past of their country and preserve the memory about their ancestors.
Rector of the University Sergei Khakhomov, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign languages Elena Sazhina and head of International Affairs Department voiced support to the initiative of the project extension and our commitment to collaboration in its implementation.
