The International Youth Scientific and Practical Conference “World literature through the eyes of modern youth. The digital age ” is running on October 14-15. The organizers of the conference are Magnitogorsk State Technical University named after G.I.Nosov (Institute of Humanitarian Education, Department of Linguistics and Literary Studies) and Francisk Skorina Gomel State University (Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics). The conference is a part of a plan of joint events, established in accordance with a cooperation agreement between universities. It is dedicated to topical issues of studying world literature in the digital age. There were discussed such issues as the anniversary of A.P. Chekhov, digital projects in the humanities; eternal themes, plots, archetypes, concepts in world literature; network literature; traditional and modern philological research methods; comparative and intermediate studies; virtual genre studies, linguistic studies in the digital age.
The conference was attended by students and undergraduates from universities and research centers of Gomel, Kemerovo, Magnitogorsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Orel, St. Petersburg, Saransk, Tula, Ulan-Ude. The conference was opened with welcoming words by Professor of the Department of Russian General and Slavic Linguistics of F. Skorina Gomel State University, Doctor of Philology, V.I.Koval, and by Head of the Department of Linguistics and Literary Studies of MSTU named after G. I. Nosov, Doctor of Philology S. V. Rudakova.
Master's student of the Faculty of Philology P. S. Zavtrikova (scientific supervisor - Head of the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics, Doctor of Philological Sciences E. V. Nichiporchik) represented our university at the plenary session of the conference with a report on the topic “Functioning of pronoun-obsessive complexes with a key word life in the individual style of A.P. Chekhov”. The conference participants expressed their desire to continue communication in the online format during the cultural, educational and scientific event "Slavic Meetings", which will be held at our university on December 7-8.
