The current state of methodological science is significant changes under the influence of various factors, including the epidemiological situation caused by the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This factor affected the methodology of teaching foreign languages. In the shortest possible time, it was possible to systematize the previously accumulated experience in this field and combine it with new methods and techniques so that the learning process became as effective as possible. The quality of assimilation of the acquired knowledge only increased.
Within the framework of international cooperation between the Faculty of Foreign Languages and higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation, an online course of lectures on the methodology of teaching foreign languages for 3rd-year students of the specialty "Foreign languages (English, German), (English, French)" and "Foreign languages (German, English)" was organized. Ilona Jarchak, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages No. 2 of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, opened a series of lectures. She spoke about the essential characteristics of interactive teaching of a foreign language to students in the framework of the course "Methods of teaching foreign languages".
During the lecture, such issues as theoretical and methodological approaches to the technological support of future bachelors in interactive teaching of business communication in a foreign language, the specifics of technological support and the essential characteristics of block-modular interactive training of future bachelors in business communication in a foreign language were highlighted; a theoretical model of technological support for future bachelors in interactive teaching of business communication in a foreign language, aimed at the formation of business communication competencies: cognitive, communicative, linguistic, intercultural, organizational and managerial, and information technology. The acquired knowledge will serve as a foundation for students to conduct their own research in this area within the framework of course projects.
