The European Youth Boxing Championship (U-18), held from October 14 to 24, ended in Budva (Montenegro).
223 athletes and 101 athletes from 38 countries of the continent competed for the awards of the European Youth Boxing Championship (U-18).
The national team of the Republic of Belarus has 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. As a result, the 13th team place. At the tournament in Budva, the Republic of Belarus as part of the national team was represented by 2nd year students of the Faculty of Physical Training Irina Vinogradova (weight category of 61 kg) and Nikita Nagornyj (weight category of 92 kg).
Nikita reached the semifinal stage of the tournament without defeats, losing to his opponent, the representative of Israel. According to the rules of the competition, became the bronze medalist of the competition.
Irina stopped at the 5th place in the standings.
