From January 12 to 16, the Belarusian Wrestling Championship-2022 took place in the Shakhtar tennis arena in Soligorsk, in which the titled athletes of our country in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling took part.
Students and graduates of the Faculty of Physical Training of our university performed as part of the national team of the Gomel region.
Dmitry Shamelo (57 kg) became the winner in the freestyle wrestling competitions among men. The bronze awards were won by Aleksej Parkhomenko (125 kg) and our graduate Evgenij Rebikov (61 kg).
Among women, Nadezhda Bulanaja (59 kg) was awarded the gold medal. Natalja Belskaja (68 kg) rose to the second step of the podium. Valerija Jarmola (59 kg) won bronze.
Gleb Makarenko (60 kg) became the silver medalist of the Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship.
