On March 4 Faculty of Physical Culture of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University co-organized a round table with the State Social and Humanitarian University (Kolomna, Russia) on the topic: “Actual problems of physical education, students and tourism. Development and prospects”.
The welcoming speech from the Russian University was voiced by the Vice-rector for Scientific Work of the State Social and Humanitarian University, Doctor of Philology, Professor Irina Politova and Dean of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Alexander Nechaev.
A scientific report on the activities of the GSU Olympic Sports Research Laboratory and the possibilities of international cooperation was announced by Sergei Melnikov, senior lecturer of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture, head of Student Research Laboratory “Start”.
The conference discussed topical issues of physical education of different categories of the population; training and retraining of pedagogical personnel in physical culture; prospects for the preparation of sports reserves; general pedagogical issues of physical culture and more.
Faculty of the Faculty of Physical Culture of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, students, undergraduates and postgraduates took an active part in the conference. The scientists exchanged the results of their research, considered possible areas of cooperation.
