On may 3-4 in Grodno state University named after Yanka Kupala was held Republican civil-Patriotic marathon " Together - for a strong and prosperous Belarus!", which gathered teams from 14 educational institutions of Belarus in Grodno. Our University was represented at the event by a team of students from different faculties of the University.
The marathon dedicated to the victory of the Soviet people in the great Patriotic war of 1941 – 1945 is held in Grodno not for the first time. This year, the organizers have expanded the boundaries for the participants, and the marathon has acquired the status of a Republican. The event is open, it is held in order to form active citizenship and patriotism among young people, promote family values and healthy lifestyles, support youth initiatives.
The rich program of the marathon included a variety of competitive tests and was divided into cycles:
- cycle of creative activities " Youth. Initiative. Future "("Free creative competition" and competition " creative presentation of the University»);
— a series of intellectual activities "Experts of the native land" (the competition "My homeland: the history and culture of Belarus" and the competition videoease "We – heirs of Victory»);
— a series of events military sports of nature "To the defense of the Fatherland ready" (contests "sharpshooter", "Driving combat vehicles" (in the simulator), "obstacle course", "Thrower", "Military-sports relay race»);
- a series of measures to educate a responsible attitude to the family "Together – in defense of life, morality and family values" (contest "Gaspadar I gazpadynya" and photo contest "my small Motherland").
Students of GSU not only participated in sports competitions and performed on the stage, but also demonstrated their skills in baking bread and making a birdhouse.
The first place in the marathon was won by the team Of Yanka Kupala Grodno state University. The team of our University was awarded the diploma of the participant.
