n April 8, II International Scientific and Practical Conference “THE WORD ABOUT THE WORD: Studies of young Philologists” was held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Astrakhan State University.
The conference was co-founded by Astrakhan State University and Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
At the opening of the conference, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of Astrakhan State University, Doctor of Philosophy L.V. Baeva, Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of Astrakhan State University, Doctor of Philology L.Y. Kasyanova, Head of the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics, Doctor of Philology E.V. Nichiporchik of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University addressed the young scientists with a welcoming speech.
The right to open the plenary session of the conference was awarded to the 2nd year undergraduate student of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University A.A. Aksenchikova-Biryukova. Her report was devoted to the peculiarities of translating the poems of the Chinese poet-classic Du Fu into Russian. The plenary session also heard reports by S.S. Ibragimova, a graduate student of the Department of Modern Russian at Baku Slavic University; E.S. Koroleva, the 1st-year student of the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology at Moscow Pedagogical State University; laboratory assistant-researcher of the Department of Languages of Mass Communications of the Institute of Economics and Management of the Ural Federal University A.N. Kislitsina; the 5th year student of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of Astrakhan State University E.D. Kaizhigitova.
Actual problems were considered at the conference. Young researchers representing universities of five countries characterized the word as an interlevel linguistic bond, analyzed the life of the word in the modern media environment, linguodidactics and literary text, reported on the functioning of the word in the multicultural space of the Caspian region. The heads of the sections organized a fruitful dialogue with young scientists, supporting research initiatives and suggesting new ideas and solutions to problems.
It was unusual for a high-level conference to make a presentation on “Text distortion as a stylistic feature of communication in TikTok” by A.A. Baranenko, a student of secondary school No.11 in Gomel. Scientific supervisor A.A. Baranenko is the 2nd – year master’ student of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University P.S. Zavtrikova. Having recently graduated from university, P.S. Zavtrikova enthusiastically teaches Russian language and literature at school, pays a lot of attention to research work in the master’s program and attracts her students to scientific activities.
It is worth noting with satisfaction the worthy level of scientific articles by students and undergraduates of the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics P. S. Zavtrikova, A.V. Lavorenko, A.N. Starovoitova, Shen Jiacheng
and with gratitude – the work of their scientific supervisors E. V. Nichiporchik, V. I. Koval, N. I. Lapitskaya.
