Today, the People's Republic of China and its numerous friends around the world celebrate an important milestone—the 75th anniversary of the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China. For a country with a five-thousand-year history, 75 years may seem insignificant; however, during this time, China has made a truly monumental leap in its development, transforming from a backward agrarian society into an advanced economic power with immense international authority.

In honor of this significant anniversary, a concert was organized, prepared by the Chinese language instructors working at the Confucius Institute of our university. Currently, 12 qualified specialists from China are teaching the Chinese language and introducing over three hundred students to Chinese culture at the Institute.

The performance included Chinese songs and poetry recited in both Chinese and Russian. The audience was particularly captivated by the dragon dance performed by Song Zhuotao and the fan dance by Zheng Ruixue, as well as demonstrations of tai chi exercises. To conclude the concert, all the instructors of the Confucius Institute, led by Director Ji Yimin, sang the patriotic song "Me and My Motherland" in unison.

On behalf of the audience, A.V. Rogachev, the director of the Confucius Institute from the Belarusian side, expressed gratitude to the Chinese instructors and wished them, as well as their great homeland, happiness, peace, and prosperity.
