Any problems can be solved in cooperation – that is the idea for the round table conference “Belarus and Russia: unity for the sake of peace” organized at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
Experts from Belarus and Russia discuss the opportunities for joint work in various sectors – economy, science, education, culture, etc. The focal area includes the human sciences, being a good scope of work for effective cooperation that is possible only in case of transparency of aims and interests of both parties.
According to Tatiana Poloskova, a member of the expert and consultative committee on the social and humanitarian programmes at Rossotrudnichestvo, one of the most significant aims involves establishment of information exchange between Russia and Belarus. It can be achieved through organization of open meetings and events of interest with the representatives of academic community and students.
As explained by Rector Sergei Khakhomov, about 40 cooperation agreements are in progress, the scientists of both countries take part in bilateral and multilateral research projects within the growth of academic mobility and broadening the opportunities of academic work and joint work in the sector of culture.
