From April 3 to April 10, the traditional republican action "Week of the Forest" was held in Belarus . This year the action took place for the 14th time. The event was timed with the Year of National Unity and covered all regions of the republic. The students of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University annually take part in a voluntary action.
The students of groups ЛХ-21 and ЛХ-31 (volunteers of the team “Lesovod”) took part in planting pine forest plantations in the Sharpilovsky forestry of the Gomel experimental forestry enterprise (crops were planted on an area of 2.9 hectares), as well as in planting pine forest plantations in the Grabovsky forestry enterprise (6.5 ha).
The students of the ЛХ-41 group took part in planting pine forest cultures in the Zyabrovsky forestry of Korenevskaya experimental forest base of Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Planting area - 3 hectares.
