From October 15 to 17, the final Greco-Roman wrestling competitions within the framework of the Republican Universiade 2021 were held in Grodno. Wrestlers from 21 universities of the country took part in the competitions. According to the results of the competition, the national team of our university took the third team place, give way to wrestlers from the Y.Kupala Grodno State University and the Belarusian State University of Physical Training. In the individual competition, a student of the Faculty of Physical Training Gleb Makarenko (weight category of 63 kg.) rose to the highest step of the podium, he was also awarded a special prize "For the will to win" from the Belarusian Association of Student Sports. The silver medal went to Vadim Poleenko (weight category of 77 kg.), bronze medals were awarded to Ilja Biteev and Denis Bolotcev (weight category of 82 kg.), Andrej Sharaevich (weight category of 77 kg.) and Alexandr Savickij (weight category of 87kg.).
