December 2 Faculty of Physical Training of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University co-organized the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Physical Culture and Sport - the foundations of a healthy nation", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of higher education in the Trans-Baikal Territory (Chita, Russia).
The main directions of the conference were: historical aspects of physical culture and sports; psychological and pedagogical aspects of training specialists in the field of physical culture and sports; modern technologies of physical education of various groups of the population; features of sports reserve training: theory and methodology of the training process of athletes of various qualifications; biomedical problems of physical culture and sports; innovative approaches in the field of health and adaptive physical culture; problems of restorative medicine in physical culture and sports.
The head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Evgenij Osipenko made a welcoming speech and a scientific report on the topic "Modernization of school physical education".
The conference was actively attended by students, undergraduates, teaching staff of the Faculty of Physical Training of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The scientists exchanged the results of their scientific research, and also considered possible areas of cooperation between teachers and students.
