We all hear from childhood: Indeed, this is one of the main international holidays that unites all nations, the most beloved holiday of most adults and children, because on the night of December 31 to January 1, the most cherished dreams come true and real miracles happen! This holiday is eagerly, excitedly and joyfully awaited on different continents, in different countries and cities, regardless of age, social status, nationality and citizenship. A festive atmosphere reigns everywhere: in houses and on the streets, as well as at the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
On December 23, students of the preparatory department, students of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Physics and Information Technology, as well as teachers and staff of the Institute of Additional Education gathered for traditional "New Year's gatherings". In a close circle, away from home and relatives, the guys were able not only to get to know each other better, demonstrating their talents, but also to give bright emotions, smiles and warmth of their hearts. The New Year's holiday, in addition to the Belarusian students of the preparatory department, was attended by students who came to Belarus from the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, Guinea, Ghana, Turkey, Syria, Ukraine, Russia. The event also featured traditional fairy-tale characters - Santa Claus and his granddaughter Snow Maiden, whose roles were performed with pleasure by our foreign listeners Eguaza Efehi and Bambi Lauren Marian Evelina.
Dmitry Khodanovich, Director of the Institute of Additional Education, made a welcoming speech, wishing everyone good luck, happiness, the implementation of their plans, the achievement of their goals and the fulfillment of their desires. And then a kaleidoscope of contests and bright performances whirled those present in a whirlwind of festive mood! Tango Pedry Henok, Priscilla, Bondamba Joel, Egoise Efehi, Coulibaly Djibril, Mandjumba Loick participated in the contests "Tangerine Excitement", "Milkmaids", "Light up!". With passion, the guys cooked a tangerine kebab, with amazing courage, playing the role of milkmaids, young daredevils "extracted" milk. They quickly and meticulously dismantled the "pyramid" of packages in order to get to the sparklers and light them with pleasure with all the participants of the holiday.
The long-awaited holiday is impossible without songs, dances and, of course, poems! The song passages in French and English sounded heartfelt and very lyrical with the voices of Milandou Sami Tallyan Gael and Daniel. The temperamental Tongo Pedri with his unique rap caused a flurry of reciprocal emotions and endless applause from those present.
The literary composition from the poems of I. Surikov "Winter" and I. Fink “ In Africa ..." was performed by Bondamba Joel and Bondamba Christian, Ndubi Nguvulu Ornella, Milandou Somi Tallyan Gael, Bambi Lauren Maryan Evelina, Ntonono Tunga. A bright dance in the rhythms of Africa was presented to the audience by Ndubi Nguvulu Hornella and Ntonono Tunga. In this energetic dance, the charismatic Santa Claus Eguaza Efehi actively supported the girls. They cajoled the "Blue Water" tiger, the symbol of the coming year, with the contest of artists "Paint the Tiger", in which Ntono Tunga and Ndubi Nguvulu Hornella demonstrated their skills. The organizers of the meeting did not forget the popular game "The Third Extra" at many parties, which was attended by both foreign and Belarusian students of the preparatory department of the Institute of Additional Education.
The guests of the holiday were foreign students of the Faculty of Economics, who graduated from the preparatory department last year, and foreign second-year students of the Faculty of Physics and Information Technology, who actively participated in the festive action. And two charming girls, students of the preparatory department of the philological profile, Yana Sokolova and Anja Lebedeva, held "New Year's gatherings". Sweet prizes were awarded to the winners and participants of the contests.
The festive evening ended with a tea party at a sweet table and numerous photos in good memory of the holiday, which gave positive energy, warmth and a cheerful mood. In conclusion, we would like to congratulate all the listeners, students, teachers and staff of the university on the upcoming New Year and wish them a great mood, creative success, the implementation of all new plans and ideas and the achievement of heights!
