On March 24-25, the next V Republican Olympiad in Chinese among students was held on the basis of the Confucius Republican Institute of
Chinese Studies of BSU (Minsk). The Olympiad was attended for the first time by the 1st–year students of the Faculty of Philology of our university, studying Chinese. They are Daria Korshakova and Violetta Tereshina, as well as the 2nd-year student of the specialty “Russian Philology” Alina Morozova. The Chinese language teacher, intern of the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics Yu.D. Lukashova led the team of students and prepared them for the Olympiad.
For two days, the participants of the Olympiad demonstrated their knowledge of Chinese oral and written speech. The best result among Gomel Sinologists was shown by Daria Korshakova, who was awarded a diploma.
