According to the latest update of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities (WRWU), the university confidently holds the prestigious 4th place among higher educational institutions in the Republic of Belarus.
Webometrics, a globally recognized university ranking compiled by the Cybermetrics Lab of the Spanish National Research Council, evaluates the scientific achievements of universities, their impact in the online space, as well as the citation and significance of the publications by the university's scholars for the global scientific community. This ranking is updated twice a year, and Gomel State University named after Francisk Skorina consistently ranks in the top 11% of the best universities worldwide among more than 32,000 educational institutions.
As of the updated ranking for July 2024, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University occupies a prestigious 3486th place globally, which attests to the university's high academic reputation. Within the Republic of Belarus, the university firmly maintains its fourth position among domestic higher education institutions and is an undisputed leader in the Gomel region.
