The 200th anniversary of the birth of the writer, publicist, thinker Fyodor Dostoevsky will be celebrated in 2021. This event is of great importance for the entire cultural community.
In honor of Fyodor Dostoevsky's jubilee, the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics organized a program of cultural, educational and scientific events, the central event of which was the International Scientific Forum “Heritage of F. M. Dostoevsky and Contemporaneity”. The co-organizers of the forum were the Magnitogorsk State Technical University named after G.I.Nosov and the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, both are the constant partners of the department. The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Gomel assisted in the implementation of the anniversary program, too.
Among the participants of the scientific forum there were well-known scientists as well as novice researchers from Belarus, Russia, Romania, Moldova. Each of them, inspired by the genius of Dostoevsky, said his own new word about the work of the Master.
The forum was held in the format of plenary and breakout sessions. The plenary session of the forum, which was held at a high scientific level, was opened by A.P. Vlaskin, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Magnitogorsk State Technical University named after G.I.Nosov, a well-known Dostoevsky scholar, member of the F.M.Dostoevsky International Society.
The topics of the reports prepared by the forum participants were varied and interesting. We are sure that the participation in the forum of students of the Faculty of Philology aroused their interest in the creative heritage of F.M.Dostoevsky and research activities.
