The third stage of the second season of the «Educational Robotics Cup» competition took place on the basis of the Faculty of Physics and Information Technologies of the Skorina State University on March 6. The Educational Robotics Cup is a series of tournaments that are held in various cities of the Republic of Belarus. The goal of the Cup is to popularize and promote the development of robotics in Belarus.
The general organization of the Educational Robotics Cup is carried out by the Association for the Promotion of Educational Initiatives in the Field of Exact Sciences and High Technologies "Education for the Future".
Teams from various cities of Belarus were represented at the Cup: EPAM eKids Garage (Minsk), STEM-class RoboClever (Pinsk), State Institution of Additional Education "Center for creativity of children and youth of Borisov region" (Borisov), State Educational Institution "Vysokovskaya secondary school" of the Kamenets region (Vysokoe), State Educational Institution «Myadel boarding school» (Myadel), State Educational Institution " Baranovichi Palace of Children's Creativity" (Baranovichi), State Educational Institution «Center for Additional Education of Bobruisk" (Bobruisk), Information Technology Club IT_CLUB (Minsk), Axioma Robotics Club (Gomel), Impulse Robotics Club (Gomel), PinMode Technical Creativity Club (Minsk), ROBOLAB International Educational Project (Robotics School) (Minsk) , "Gomel Technopark" (Gomel), Tutoring center "100 points - Vitebsk" (Vitebsk), "Constellation of independent tutors "100 points" (Minsk region, Minsk), Rechitsa center of creativity for children and youth (Rechitsa), Private Educational Institution Creativity "Cambridge Secondary School" (Minsk).
Competitions were held in 12 programs: Roborace. PRO; Roborace. PRO mini; Roborace. Educational constructors; Mini sumo; Labyrinth; Line following. PRO; Line following. Juniors; Line following. Educational constructors; Programmable drones; Big trip: junior category; Big trip: senior category; WRO Football.
Master classes for teachers of basic and additional education of preschool educational institutions were held in the following areas:
- Educational and engineering complex for kindergartens and early development centers based on the GIGO set: "Robotics for kids: screenless programming and algorithms" as the beginning of an educational trajectory in digital technologies.
- Basic training course for teachers on the complex of digital technologies based on teaching materials used in the Republican Children's Technopark in the section "Robotics": equipment and training programs. Registration for the second set of listeners.
- Goldberg machines: exciting STEM lessons and preparation for international competitions.
- Micro:bit version 2.0 - review of the updated educational microcomputer with new features.
- TRIK sets for schools and universities. Overview of the features of the set "Learning pair".
- Competitions in robotics in Belarus and neighboring countries. First Steps to Autonomous Football WRO and RoboCup.
