Lectors of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the rock band “Solche” visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on October 31, 2018. For many years DAAD lecturers have been organizing the informative and educational meetings at GSU presenting the aims and purposes of DAAD to the students, postgraduates and lecturers of our University. Thus, students and young researchers can get DAAD scholarships, attend summer university courses in Germany, get an internship in educational institutions and research centers in this country. This is an opportunity not only to study German, but also to improve one’s professional level and to establish friendly relations with young people from different countries of the world, making contribution to the development of international, scientific ties, and strengthening human relations.
At the meeting Rector Sergei Khakhomov held a presentation of bands and ensembles of the University students’ club, creative projects and contests. The participants attended seminars “System of education in Germany” and “How to Write Song Lyrics”, took part in the meetings with the lecturers and studied up on the opportunities and educational programmes offered by the international organization.
