Francisk Skorina Gomel State University is extending cooperation with higher education establishments of China. Delegation of GSU paid a visit to Jiangnan University (Wuxi, China), where the Rectors of partner universities Sergei Khakhomov and Chen Jian discussed prospects for the development in educational and scientific sectors.
In particular, the leaders of the universities discussed opportunities for academic exchange and internships for the teachers, students and postgraduates, mutual invitations for the lecturers. They established conditions for joint participation in seminars, conferences and grant programmes, pointed out the directions for scientific research work and development. The Universities confirmed their commitment to experience exchange in the sphere of international programmes, bilateral assistance in publishing and circulation of scientific and study materials.
New agreements between the Universities were established within the frames of Partnership Agreement signed in October 2018, being a part of the Programme for cooperation development in education between Belarus and China for 2016 – 2022.
The parties have discussed the interim results of joint international agreement with Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research. Work of scientists from both countries is aiming at designing and production of high-sensitive optic radiation sensors based on multi-layer microstructures of metamaterials.
