On 25 January 2019, a Republican meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the Belarusian Science Day was held in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The event brought together about 500 representatives of the academic, university and industry sciences, young researchers, heads of ministries, departments, and higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus.
The best Belarusian scientists and researchers were awarded. Rector of Gomel State University, doctor of physics and mathematics, docent Sergei Khakhomov got the laureate diploma for the best thesis research of 2018 in the nomination “Natural sciences” for the doctoral thesis “Wave processes in metamaterials and spiral-structure systems”.
An exhibition of scientific achievements and results of scientific, technical, and innovative activities of the Republic of Belarus was organized, where Belarusian scientists and researchers presented more than 220 new innovative and scientific developments.
