On March 20, 2018, teachers and students of the Francisk Skaryna Gomel state University took part in the international conference "Securitatea Informationala-2018" ("Information security – 2018"), held by the Moldovan economic Academy (IEA). The conference is organized by the laboratory of information security, headed by Dr. S. A. Okhrimenko, Professor, and is held in the IEA for 14 times. Representatives of the faculty of Economics of the Francysk Skaryna Gomel state University have been taking part in it for the sixth year, considering the current problems of information security and directions of their solution and sharing the results of research in the field of information security.
Participation in the international conference is explained by the relevance of the problems discussed at it, common to many countries, because modern cyber threats are transnational.
The main objectives of the conference are to intensify research activities in the field of information security and selection of specialists for information systems of state and commercial structures.
The international conference covered the results of a variety of research areas from the legal framework and organizational measures in the field of information security, the formation of information systems security policy and intellectual property protection to the use of various means of information protection, analysis of information threats and means of combating them, as well as the investigation of computer crimes.
Teachers of the Department of economic Informatics, accounting and Commerce economic faculty (associate Professor, Ph. D., Gomaco S. N., associate Professor, Ph. D. Pugachev, O. V. (member of the organizing Committee), senior teachers Doroshev V. D., Kornienko, O. E. and SNiP I. A.) and senior teachers of the Department of automated information processing systems of the faculty of physics and information technologies (A. I. Kucherov and kulinchenko V. N.) prepared presentations for the conference and took part in the work of the conference. Senior teacher A. I. In addition To the F. Skaryna Gomel state University from the Republic of Belarus and the IEA (Republic of Moldova), representatives of the D. A. Tsenov economic Academy (Bulgaria), higher educational institutions of Ukraine from Kirovograd, Cherkass, Kharkiv, and South Ural state University (Russia) took part in the video conference "Information security – 2018".
