Delegation of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University headed by Rector of the University Sergei Khakhomov took part in the meeting of the Council of the Confucius Institute, held at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (Nanjing, China). During the meeting, a report was presented on the work conducted by the Confucius Institute at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University in 2019, and a work plan for 2020 was agreed. During the visit, the delegation of Gomel State University held a meeting with Rector of Nanjing University of Science and Technology Fu Menguin: results of the joint International Chinese-Belarusian Laboratory for Vacuum-Plasma Technologies were summed up. The intermediate results of the implementation of an international project under an agreement with the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research “Development of a double-sided “ideal” absorber of microwave and THz waves based on metamaterials and metal-polymer polydisperse layers” (jointly with the Nanjing University of Science and Technology) were also presented. The parties agreed on the main areas of cooperation for 2020 between partner universities.
