The International Center for Mathematical Education of the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University has launched a new project “Mathematics without Borders”  in order to popularize mathematics and develop professional interest among students of the faculty of mathematics and computer science. As part of the initiative, a series of popular lectures was organized by famous scientists-mathematicians and methodologists on the discussion of modern problems of mathematical education. In the course of the project, an online lecture “Scientific and pedagogical work of great mathematicians as a source of development of mathematics pedagogy”  was held by the famous Belarusian scientist and mathematician from Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, doctor of pedagogical sciences, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Vladimir Ermakov.  The lecture is based on the works of the great French mathematician Jacques Hadamard on the psychology of discoveries in the field of mathematics, as well as on teaching methods in the schools of A. Kosmodemyansky and  G. Monge. The pedagogical component in the activity of mathematicians was considered during the lecture. The report has been  listened to by students and teachers of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer science of NSPU.
