Every year the most outstanding students are awarded the prize of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee. We are proud to note the fact that among the awardees this year is a 4th year student of the Faculty of Philology Angelina Aksenchikova-Biryukova. Angelina graduated from school with a gold medal. The girl began to study Chinese in the Cabinet of Sinology of the Confucius Institute at the Gomel State University at the 1st year. As a result, she twice took Chinese language training in Dalian (China) and received certificates of successful completion of Chinese language courses at Dalian University of Technology.
She has been teaching Chinese at gymnasium No. 71 in Gomel and in secondary school No. 8 in Gomel for two years now. She is a part of the coaching staff for preparing a team of students from Gomel and the Gomel region for the Republican Olympiad in the Chinese language.
Angelina's achievements include many victories in competitions and olympiads of various levels, participation in republican and international conferences. She has more than 30 publications, 10 of which are abroad (Romania, Kazakhstan, Russia). The high level of education, as well as the broad outlook of Angelina is confirmed by her average score during her studies (9.86) and a large number of awards: diplomas of the 1st degree of the International Scientific and Practical Competition "Best Student Article", a diploma in the nomination "Science" of the Central District Executive Committee of Gomel, the award of the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the best students who showed themselves in the study of the Chinese language. In 2019 and 2020, Angelina received a scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Today she is getting her nexd award - the award of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee. Angelina is happy to share her impressions: - The award made it possible to feel satisfaction from the work done, because it is always nice to know that what you do really benefits people and the whole country. The award is another motivation to achieve your dream, your goal, to further work in the field of intercultural communication between Belarus and China. I would like to express my deep gratitude to my native philological faculty for the support that I have been provided throughout the years of study. Special thanks to Dean Elena Nikolaevna Poluyan, Head of the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics Elena Vladimirovna Nichiporchik and, of course, to my scientific advisor Vladimir Ivanovich Koval for his help in realizing my potential. I also want to thank my mother, who instilled in me love for my native language from my childhood, hard work and perseverance.
