Tatiana Yakubovich, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, is on a working visit to Gomel and the Gomel region. One of the points of the route was the Gomel State University. This is no coincidence, because the GSU for Tatiana Romanovna is an alma mater.
Tatyana Yakubovich visited the Francisk Skorina Museum-Laboratory and the Faculty of Mathematics and Programming Technologies, which she has graduated. In addition, an open dialogue meeting was organized with the staff of the university, which was attended by the rector of the GSU Sergei Khakhomov and the chairman of the Gomel regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers Nikolai Filiptsov. Tatyana Romanovna spoke about her professional activities, shared certain achievements and plans, and also noted the contribution of the union members to helping doctors in the fight against COVID-19.
The list of topics covered included salaries of staff and faculty, material assistance, encouragement of talented youth and much more. At the end of the meeting, Tatyana Yakubovich noted the high level of the educational and scientific base of GSU, as well as the good performance of the primary organizations of the university. Those present thanked the guest for the informative conversation, openness in communication and invited her to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Gomel State University.
