Last weekend, Gomel celebrated its 878th birthday. Interactive platforms, entertainment programs, exhibitions, play areas and much more were organized in all parts of the city. The team of employees, teachers and students of F. Skorina State University did not stand aside and took an active part in the festive events. On the embankment of the Sozh River, the student council of the university organized a master class "Make yourself a sun" on embroidery of various decorative items, and students of the Faculty of Physical Education became part of a large-scale flash mob.
As part of the celebration of the City Day, a sports and strength competition "The Strongest Gomel Resident", organized by the Gomel city organization "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", was held at the site near the Gomel State Medical University. Among the strongest residents of the city were the representatives of the F. Skorina State University! They were students of the Faculty of Physical Education Artur Sychev and Vadim Parfentsov, who worthilyrepresented our university, taking first and second places in the weight category up to 80 kg.
