On September 17, a meeting of representatives of the legislative and executive authorities with the staff of the university took place at the Gomel State University. The Presidium included representatives of the administration in the person of Rector Sergei Khakhomov and Vice-Rector for Educational Work Yuri Nikityuk, as well as Deputy Head of the Administration of the Central District of the city of Gomel Olga Dotsenko, and Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Zlotnikov. The meeting was also attended by Olga Radevich, head of branch No. 4 of the Gomel City Central Polyclinic. As a healthcare representative, she gave all the necessary recommendations for the prevention of viral diseases, and also answered questions about vaccination of the population, emphasizing the importance of this procedure: – It's no secret that the season of ARVI and influenza is approaching. In our country, vaccination is available to every citizen. We recommend that everyone undergo this procedure in order, first of all, to protect their own health. Olga Dotsenko reminded the audience that this year the Central District is celebrating its 80th anniversary, having noted a number of significant achievements: - Our district is famous for its infrastructure, its social and sports facilities.
The Ice Palace, the Palaces of water sports and athletics are located in the Central District, a polyclinic in Volotova has opened its doors, 80% of the city's historical and cultural heritage is located in our district, including the pearl of the Gomel region - the Palace and Park Ensemble of the Rumyantsevs and Paskevichs. New schools and kindergartens are opening. And this is just the beginning - there are a lot of projects in the future plans that will make our area even better! The leading university of Polesie, the F. Skorina State University, is located in the Central District. Deputy Andrei Zlotnikov and Vice-Rector for Educational Work Yuri Nikityuk focused the audience's attention on the fact that the university is a platform for gaining knowledge, acquiring new acquaintances and interesting experiences, and GSU students have all the conditions to implement these points. Also, all those present were reminded of the need to comply with the laws of the Republic of Belarus, in particular the law "On Mass Events". The open dialogue took place in a friendly atmosphere, and students and teachers had the opportunity to ask all their questions.
