In a solemn atmosphere, the rector of GSU Sergey Khakhomov, chairman of the trade union committee of employees Nikolai Galinovsky, the staff of the Faculty of Economics, its students and graduates congratulated Sergey Nikolayevich Goveiko, the associate professor of the Department of Economic Informatics, Accounting and Commerce, on his 70th birthday. Long-term fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity, high professionalism and high-quality training of highly qualified personnel distinguish the work of Sergei Nikolaevich. Goveiko S.N. worked as the Head of the department for the longest period in the history of the faculty - from April 1992 to May 2017, started as the Head of the Department of Economic Informatics, then as the Head of the Department of Commercial Activities and Information Technologies in Economics. Since May 2017, he has been an associate professor at the Department of Economic Informatics, Accounting and Commerce. Sergey Nikolaevich successfully conducts lectures, practical and laboratory classes in the following major disciplines: "Computer information technologies", "Valuation of the organization's property", "Business valuation", "Business valuation in foreign countries", "Organization of foreign trade activities".
He teaches students of almost all specialties of Faculty of Economics, supervises coursework, diploma and master's theses. In the 2019-2020 academic year, S.N. Goveiko developed new disciplines "Computer products in information systems of accounting and audit", "Accounting and analytical methods of business valuation", "Data mining technologies" for the magistracy of various economic specialties. Sergey Nikolaevich participates in the organization and work of state examination commissions in the specialties of the department. He is a member of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in Economic Informatics.
He took an active part in the work on the opening of a new specialty "Economic Informatics" in 2018. In his work Sergey Goveiko constantly uses modern information technologies in conducting classes, applies computer testing for the courses taught using the capabilities of the university's corporate network and other software tools, which increases the quality of the educational process. He constantly participates in international and republican scientific conferences. In the last 3 years, he has produced a number of scientific and methodological publications, including 13 articles in foreign journals, a practical guide and an electronic educational and methodological complex. Sergei Nikolaevich is always correct and tactful in relations with students and colleagues, he behaves with restraint and benevolence, constantly demonstrates his willingness to provide the necessary assistance or advice. And, as modern realities require, Sergei Nikolaevich is persistent in finding the best, effective way to achieve the goal, no matter how difficult the tasks are. A team of employees, teachers and students congratulates Sergei Nikolayevich Goveiko on his 70th birthday and wishes the hero of the day good health, good spirits, achievement of his goals and to look at the world only with happy eyes!
