The Prosecutor of the Gomel Region Viktor Morozov arrived to the Gomel State University with a working visit. The chief prosecutor of the Gomel region met with the rector Sergei Khakhomov, and then - with the labor collective of the GSU. In the format of an open dialogue, Viktor Nikolaevich discussed with those present the current socio-political situation in the country, spoke about the inadmissibility of distorting historical events and involving students in participating in unauthorized mass events.
He emphasized the need for closer work with young people, using such platforms as the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, various civil-patriotic actions and projects, and the Internet space. Viktor Morozov stressed that there are no closed topics for discussion in the Republic of Belarus, therefore, educational institutions should hold meetings with students, discuss problem areas and find ways to eliminate them. Tatiana Zhiznevskaya, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor of the Gomel Region, spoke to the labor collective, too. Tatyana reported on the results of the audit on the implementation of the legislation on the prevention of offenses carried out at the university. In general, Viktor Morozov noted the good level of work at the university, appreciated the highly professional training of personnel at the Faculty of Law, and on his own behalf and the entire prosecutor's office of the region congratulated Gomel State University on its 90th anniversary.
