On March 11-13, the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education of F. Skorina Gomel State University took part in the XXII International Symposium “East – Russia – West. Physical Education, sports and a healthy lifestyle in the XXI century "in the online format.
This scientific event was opened by Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor, Honored Worker of Higher Education, Honored Trainer of the Russian Federation, Professor of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad, Russia) - Viktor Pelmenev.
Natalya Ishchenko ,the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region - Minister of Sports of the Kaliningrad Region, Honored Master of Sports of Russia , Sergey Evseev, Ph.D. Sci., Professor, Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Adaptive Physical Education of the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sports and Health , Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Vice President of the Paralympic Committee of Russia, and Viktor Koleda, Doctor of Pedagogy Sci., Professor, Professor of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, also expressed their greetings.
Our university was represented by Evgeny Osipenko, the Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education, Ph.D. D., Associate Professor. He delivered welcoming words to the symposium participants and presented his scientific report "Digitalization of education in the field of physical culture and sports". Evgeny Osipenko noted that the Faculty of Physical Education has been actively cooperating with the Institute of Recreation, Tourism and Physical Culture of the IKBFU for more than 10 years.
The held International Symposium is distinguished by the geography of the participants, their high scientific level. The symposium has become a platform for dialogue between young scientists, researchers of fundamental and applied problems in the field of physical culture and sports.
