From March 29 to March 31, on the basis of the sports complex No. 7 of the F. Skorina GSU, the university basketball championship among girls was held. The tournament was attended by 8 women's teams, which were divided into two groups. According to the results of the preliminary stage, representatives of the following faculties reached the final: Physics and Information Technology, Psychology and Pedagogy, Foreign Languages and Law. The competition was won by the team of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy (responsible for sports-oriented work - D.A.Khikhlukha). The second place was taken by the basketball players of the Faculty of Law (V.V. Khimakov is responsible for sports-oriented work).
The team of the Faculty of Foreign Languages became the bronze medalist (L.M. Yarchak is responsible for sports-oriented work). The students of the Faculty of Physical Education under the guidance of the senior teacher of the Department of Physical Education and Sports A.V. Blashkevich judged the competition. The winners and prize-winners of the championship were awarded with diplomas and honour cup from the sports club, the trade union committee of students presented sweet prizes, which were given to them by the head of the sports club S.N. Kuleshov.
