Just a week after the Olympic Games in Tokyo, on August 17, the opening ceremony of the World Junior Wrestling Championship was held in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan. 1,500 athletes from 55 countries compete in the arenas of the multifunctional sports and concert complex "Ufa-Arena".
On the third day of the championship, on August 19, a student of the specialty "Physical Training " of our university Arina Martynova on the way to the final held two brilliant fights, in which she did not give the competitors the slightest chance. However, in the hardest final match, she lost to her opponent from Russia and won the silver medal of the 2021 World Championship.
