More than 220 Belarusian athletes went to the Games in Kazan, who will perform in such disciplines as badminton, 3x3 basketball, boxing, judo, karate, table tennis, bullet shooting, sambo, wrestling, Thai boxing, futsal and dance sports. On the first day of the First Games of the CIS countries, Belarusian wrestlers won 2 gold medals in a row!
It is especially gratifying that one of the awards in Greco-Roman wrestling (weight category up to 63 kg) was won by Gleb Makarenko, a second-year student of the Faculty of Physical Training of our university, who previously also became the winner of the European Youth Summer Olympic Festival-2019.
Congratulations to Gleb with the gold medal! We wish the team of our country further victories at the First Games of the CIS countries, the holding of which will become a new stage in the public sports life of the peoples of the CIS countries and a large-scale event in the world of sports!
