From November 18 to 19, "Business Days" were held in Gomel, which brought together the most active and far-sighted businessmen from 29 countries. Modern realities demonstrate the need to maintain and expand international contacts in the interests of scientific and educational centers, the business community, and the development of countries and regions. The participants discussed the use of online technologies, electronic platforms for the development and promotion of regions.
A separate session is devoted to the development of tourism. The final meeting, which took place in the social and cultural center, was attended by the heads of the region and the city, leading enterprises, representatives of diplomatic missions, chambers of commerce and industry, business associations. The Francisk Skorina Gomel State University was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of History and Intercultural Communications S. A. Charopka, faculty teachers D.M. Tolochko, E.A. Chernjakova. The 2nd year students of the specialty "Linguistic support of intercultural communications (international tourism)" together with senior lecturer of the Department of Intercultural Communication V.Yu. Sobolevich took part in the videoconference mode in section 2 "Tourism in new realities: current ideas and technologies" in two directions.
Moderator of block 1 "Effective tools and key players in promoting the image of the region and cities. Branding of territories: are we moving together or competing? Rethinking forms and methods" was made by P.A. Starosvetskij, Head of the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.
The topic of block 2 was "Medical tourism - current directions of development in modern conditions. Rehabilitation programs after Covid 19". The moderator of block 2 was N.O. Zvenigorodskaja, director of the “Sanatorium Mashinostroitel”.
Reports on key areas of development of domestic and international tourism at the present stage were heard. The culmination of the event was the summing up of the republican contest "The Best Exporter of 2020", according to the results of which nine organizations of the Gomel region were among the winners and diploma holders.
