December 1-2 Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Training of F. Skorina Gomel State University took part in the conference “Actual problems of transformation of educational processes in sports and physical education”.
The director of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy Evgenij Shurmanov opened this scientific event.
On behalf of our university, the head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Training, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Evgenij Osipenko voiced welcoming words to the conference participants, and he also presented his scientific report "Modern approaches to the modernization of school physical education".

- Alla Lysenko, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Academy of Physical Culture and Sports of the Southern Federal University "Transformation of the educational process in sports and physical education in the context of new challenges of postmodern society";
- Marat Salimov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Yekaterinburg Institute of Physical Culture (branch) Federal state budgetary educational institution of Higher Education "Ural State University of Physical Culture" "Modern problems of transformation of vocational education".
The conference was actively attended by the teaching staff of the Faculty of Physical Culture, students, undergraduates, postgraduates. During its holding, topical issues of the theory and methodology of physical education, sports training, wellness and adaptive physical culture were discussed.
