From January 18 to 21, the Belarusian Sports Acrobatics Championship was held in Gomel, in which the strongest acrobats of the country took part.
We are proud of the students of the Faculty of Physical Training of our university, who adequately represented the Gomel region and made a significant contribution to the team piggy bank – according to the results of the competition, the Gomel region took the second place!
So, in men's pairs Aleksej Zajac and Artem Jashhenko became the absolute champions of the country, and Maxim Markevich and Oleg Mikhalevich won silver. Well done, guys!
The struggle in the mixed pairs tournament was intense, athletes who had repeatedly climbed to the podium of the largest international competitions competed here. Our student Ilya Fomenkov, paired with Arina Veljuga, took the second place. The bronze medalists were the winner of the II European Games, our graduate, Artur Belyakov, who performed in a pair with first-year student Victoria Akhotnikova.
Congratulations to the winners and prize-winners of the championship, we wish the guys success at the upcoming World Competitions in Baku!
