On March 17, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus – First Secretary of the Embassy Azimjon Abdullayev and Consul Khazhiakbar Vakhabov visited the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
During the meeting with the rector of the University Sergei Khakhomov, the issues of cooperation between the universities of Belarus and Uzbekistan, as well as the prospects of training citizens of Uzbekistan at the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
The embassy staff held a meeting with Uzbek students studying at Gomel universities, drew the attention of their compatriots to the need to comply with the legislation of Belarus. The issues of crime prevention and academic performance among citizens of Uzbekistan were separately touched upon. The meeting was also attended by Ekaterina Rodionova, head of the Department for agitation and Propaganda of the DMV of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee. Ekaterina Rodionova focused on road safety issues.
The diplomatic staff visited the university museum, got acquainted with the history of our university and left entries in the book of honored guests.
