On November 16, in accordance with the work plan of the Confucius Institute at the State University named after F. Skaryna, the IV international scientific and practical conference “Chinese language and culture of China” began its work. More than fifty university teachers, employees of scientific institutions, graduate students, undergraduates and students from Belarus, Russia and China take part in it. More than half of the conference participants are doctors and candidates of science.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs D.L. addressed greetings to the conference participants. Kovalenko, as well as the directors of the Confucius Institute from the Belarusian side - A.V. Rogachev and from the Chinese side - Ji Yiming.
At the plenary session online and offline, well-known Chinese scholars from Russia (Moscow, Irkutsk, Blagoveshchensk), China (Changsha, Xuzhou, Tianjin) and Belarus (Minsk) spoke, who in their reports highlighted little-researched and topical issues of the Chinese language and culture modern and ancient China.
The conference continues in four sections: “Chinese language and Chinese culture”, “East Slavic-Chinese linguistic, literary and ethnocultural parallels”, “Basic moral and ethical values in East Slavic and Chinese cultures”, “Methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language”.
Nonresident participants of the conference have the opportunity to get acquainted with the material, technical, educational and methodological base of the Confucius Institute, as well as with the main results of its activities over the course of five years.
Based on the results of the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Chinese Language and Culture of China,” a collection of scientific articles by its participants will be published.
