On May 22, a delegation from Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, led by Sergey Khakhomov, is participating in the Second Forum of the Belarusian-Chinese University Association held at Dalian Polytechnic University (Dalian, China). The forum was opened by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Andrey Ivanets and the Deputy Minister of Education of People’s Republic of China Chen Jie. During the plenary session of the forum, a ceremony was held to establish cluster mechanisms. Francisk Skorina Gomel State University will participate in the work of the clusters on Digital Technologies, Development of Belarusian and Chinese Languages and Regional Cooperation. A solemn signing of the interuniversity cooperation agreements took place. Sergey Khakhomov signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of master’s degree preparation with Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
During the cluster session on the Development of Belarussian and Chinese Languages and Regional Cooperation, the rector of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University delivered a presentation on “Teaching and learning Chinese language in the Gomel region”.
Additionally, within the framework of the forum, Sergey Khakhomov held negotiations with the leadership of Beijing University of Technology, Taiyuan University of Technology and Jiangnan University.
