Delegations from more 150 countries and regions took part in the 13th Confucius Institute Conference in Chengdu. Confucius Institute of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University was represented by Rector of the University Sergei Khakhomov and Director of research and development institute of physics and chemistry Alexander Rogachev.
The key event of the conference was the Forum of rectors of the Universities with Confucius Institutes involved. It was devoted to discussion of the opportunities for implementation of innovations in the teaching and learning process and work system of Confucius Institutes, the issues of organization for the administrative and teaching staff, appropriation of financial resources and development of cooperation between the regional Confucius Institutes.
The representatives of GSU will visit Nanjing University of science and technologies, where the Chinese-Belarusian laboratory of vacuum technologies has been functioning for 6 years. Discussion of projects on the international scientific, technical and innovative cooperation programme is planned, as well as establishment of joint development work, production of equipment, etc.
The second Board meeting will be held in Nanjing University of science and technologies, where the members of GSU delegation will summarize the results of work and discuss the pans for 2019.
