On November 12, an online lecture by Professor of New York City University Sergei Viktorovich Samsonov (New York University (NYU), Research Technology Services, Artificial intelligence technical lead, PhD in Physics (The City University of New York, CUNY) took place in the conference hall of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The topic of the lecture was "Introduction to programming in the R language" (as part of the discipline "Information technology in biological research"). The listeners were the third-year students of the Faculty of Biology, specialty "Biology (scientific and pedagogical activity)", and teachers of the Faculty of Biology. The professor brought to the audience information about modern innovative trends in the development of information and communication technologies and biological statistics in an accessible and entertaining form.
