As a part of preparation for the introductory school practice using ICT of the third year students in an educational institution GEORG-VON-LANGEN-SCHULE (Holzminden , Germany) the first online meeting took place at the Faculty of Foreign Languages on February 26.
The meeting was attended by teachers of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, students of the faculty and German partners Michael Schindewolf, Frank Hischer and Anya Beckmann(they are responsible for the Belarusian-German project and occupy leading positions at the school), as well as the project coordinator of this institution in Belarus L.V. Erokhina. The project is being implemented in accordance with an agreement concluded back in November 2019 between the Faculty of Foreign Languages and a German educational institution, but its implementation was suspended due to restrictions imposed by Germany in connection with the pandemic. Some time ago the parties decided to stop waiting for better times and intensify contacts in the current conditions. At the online meeting on February 26, the fundamental issues necessary for our students to undergo school practice at the GEORG-VON-LANGEN-SCHULE institution in Holzminden were discussed. It was defined that it is technically possible for our students to conduct online classes using ICT, and now we need to determine the terms and prepare a specific program, which will help the students to perform such an unusual and new project. The principle idea is that it will be possible for students not only to attend classes conducted by German teachers, but also to act as teachers and to appear in front of German pupils in an active role.
As the result of the first meeting, it was determined that such events will be held on a regular basis –as a part of preparation for school practice currently, and in the future they will move to the format of online conferences, where the results of scientific and practical cooperation will be regularly discussed.
Future participants of the project are looking forward to the start of its active phase in order to prove themselves in action.
