The International Round Table “Historical and Cultural Heritage of Belarus and Russia. The memory of culture is eternal ”, organized online by Francisk Skorina Gomel State University jointly with Russian universities - the I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University and Pskov State University.

Greetings from Russian partner universities were made by:
Igor Kozhanov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Work, I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences;
Taras Antal, Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of Pskov State University.
Students of Belarusian and Russian universities prepared reports and presentations on the sights of Belarus, Chuvashia and the Pskov land in English, Russian and Belarusian.
The cultural and historical heritage and tourism potential of our Republic and the Gomel region were presented by 1st year students of the Faculty of History and Philology (the round table program is attached):
- “Sights of culture of the Republic of Belarus” - Anastasia Savoshko and Yulia Spektor, specialty “Russian Language and Literature. Foreign Language (English) ";
- "Significant cultural objects of the Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus" - Svetlana Mukhina, specialty "Linguistic Support of Intercultural Communications (International Tourism)";
- “Legendary Belarus. Belarusian legends and myths "- Nadezhda Gaiduk, specialty" Russian language and Literature. Foreign Language (English) ".
Students of the participating universities could ask questions of interest and exchange views due to the interactive format. Very interesting, informative and original reports were prepared by Chuvash and Pskov students and undergraduates.
Stanislav Cherepko, Dean of the Faculty of History, and Elena Poluyan, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, made a closing speech and expressed wishes for further cooperation from Gomel State University.
We are sincerely grateful to our Russian colleagues for the joint and well-coordinated work in organizing the event.
We thank students and undergraduates for their interest and masterfully prepared and presented reports and presentations.
